Chapter Thirteen

Arnav swirled his chair side to side, playing with his paperweight. He thought of Khushi, thinking of the kidnapping and earlier in the hospital. Whenever he would shut his eyes, all he would see was Khushi. Images of her flashed in his mind and Arnav kept stopping himself each and every time.

Stop it, he said in his head. There's no point. Why am I even bothering?

Arnav rested his head back and shut his eyes, letting out a deep sigh.

Does she even think of me that way? Doubt it. She probably hates me.

Arnav rubbed his forehead.

Can't blame her. I'm the reason she got into such a mess.

"Sir?"

Arnav looked up and saw his secretary.

"It's time to lock up."

Arnav nodded and got up. He walked out of HQ and headed towards the house. As he slowly walked back, he looked up at the star-filled sky.

Dad, wherever you are, help me. Give me a sign!

At that moment, a star twinkled and went back to normal, as if it were shining for a moment.

Arnav smiled slightly. Thanks dad.

He headed into the house and went straight up to his and Khushi's room. When he opened the door, he gaped. He found Khushi at the wardrobe with a pile of clothes.

"Khushi, what are you doing," Arnav asked bewildered.

Khushi turned. "Oh, Arnavji, when did you come? I'm just rearranging the wardrobe."

"What the? Why? You're supposed to be resting Khushi."

"But I was bored Arnavji. So I thought-"

"You thought wrong. Khushi put those down now. You're going back to bed."

"But Arnavji, I can't just-"

"Yes you can, so put them down."

"Arnavji, I can't just leave our clothes on the floor," she slightly chuckled.

Arnav went over to her to hold the clothes. He reached out to get them and his hands touched hers. Both of their eyes' shot up to the other's and their eyes locked. They just gazed away at each other, when there was a knock at the door.

"Chote? Khushi?"

It was Anannya.

The two split away and Khushi went to the door and opened it.

"Ma, come in."

Anannya smiled. "That's okay. I noticed Chote coming in so I heated the food up. Come down to eat, okay Chote. And Khushi, I'll send food up for you as well."

"No, Ma, that's okay. I'll go down as well."

"No you won't," Arnav said. "You need to get your rest."

"But Arnavji-"

"No but's. Ma, I'll be down in a few."

Anannya smiled at their childish acts and went downstairs.

"Arnavji, please don't make me stay in here. I'm fine!"

"Khushi, no. For crying out loud, you just came back from the hospital!"

"But I'm so bored in here! There's nothing to do!"

"You have TV, your phone, iPad, etc. What more do you need?"

"... someone to do it with."

Arnav sighed. Of course she needed someone; she was all alone.

"I get bored here all by myself," Khushi said in a low voice. "So I move around to, I don't know... entertain myself."

"I'm sorry," Arnav replied in a low voice.

Khushi shook her head. "It's not your fault Arnavji. Anyways, you go eat; Ma will be waiting."

"Come down with me."

Khushi shook her head. "It's okay. I'll just rest and eat up here."

Arnav felt bad, but he just nodded. He went downstairs and saw the food ready on the table, but he just didn't feel right. So he came up with an idea.

Upstairs, Khushi sighed heavily and leaned back in bed. She was completely bored and was staring up at the ceiling when the door opened. In came Arnav with a maid behind with a trolley of food.

"Arnavji? What's all of this," Khushi asked.

"You and I are going to eat together."

"What?"

Khushi was shocked. The maid had set the food on the table and Khushi got out of bed ad went over to them. Arnav gestured her to sit down and he sat across from her. The maid left and Arnav set the food on their plates. They began to eat, watching TV together. Soon, they finished up and Arnav called a maid in to clean up.

Khushi yawned.

"Tired," Arnav questioned.

Khushi nodded. "A bit."

"Why don't you go to bed. I have some work to catch up with."

"Okay," Khushi smiled lightly.

She got her nightwear and went into the bathroom to change. When she came out, she saw Arnav on his laptop. He smiled lightly at her and Khushi did the same. She went to bed and tried to go to sleep, but she couldn't. She kept thinking of Arnav and with him especially in the room, it wasn't being any easier.

Khushi turned and took a peek at Arnav. He was sitting in front of her, facing the other way, so she could only see the back of the lounger. She just watched him, seeing him lean forward or back now and then. She would notice his muscles bunch up and she couldn't help but to bite her lower lip.

Arnav stood up and picked up his coffee mug, sipping some coffee. He placed it down and turned to go to the wardrobe. Khushi quickly shut her eyes and waited to hear the wardrobe open. When she did, she opened one eye and listened. Arnav came walking back and Khushi quickly shut her eyes again. She peeked and saw Arnav facing the other way.

Suddenly, Arnav's phone rang.

"Hello," he said into his phone.

The person spoke and Arnav moved around the room, picking files up, Khushi closing her eyes now and then, making sure not to get caught.

"Since we already have been signed in, then there are no problems. It's just a matter of time and then campaigning starts. ... yeah. Okay."

Arnav stood by his laptop and did some stuff. Khushi was watching him in admiration.

He's such a politician, Khushi said in her head. My politician, she blushed, biting her lip.

"Alright, tomorrow then," and Arnav hanged up.

He placed his phone down and his next move shocked Khushi. Arnav unbuttoned his shirt and cuffs and took off his shirt. Khushi gaped as Arnav tossed his shirt over to the sofa. He stretched up and Khushi had to bite her lip to control herself. Arnav moved his hands to the side of his face, making his muscles bunch up. Khushi licked her lips in approval, biting them.

Wow, he's so built, she yelled in her head.

Arnav was about to turn her way and Khushi quickly shut her eyes. Arnav went to the bathroom and Khushi quickly turned that way.

Damn, he's got muscles, she yelled in her head.

Suddenly the bathroom door opened and Khushi quickly shut her eyes. Arnav looked at Khushi and slightly smiled. He went over to the vanity and stood in front of the mirror. Khushi peeked and looked at his reflection. His abs were on display and Khushi had to stop herself from letting out a moan which was dying to come out! Arnav ran his hands through his hair and then picked up his white T-shirt and put it on.

Khushi slightly pouted but then quickly shut her eyes as Arnav went back to the wardrobe. He pulled out a pair of sweats and stripped off his pants. Khushi had to bite her lip really hard so that she wouldn't gasp. She had to control herself with great effort, especially for what he did next. Arnav took off his underwear and Khushi caught a full glimpse of his butt!

Holy.... He's got a sexy ass!

Arnav's phone rang and he walked across the room and picked up his phone. He spoke and went in front of the vanity. Khushi's eyeballs dilated as she caught a glimpse of his manhood.

Khushi quickly shut her eyes and tried to get the vision out of her head, but she kept seeing his muscles, his abs, his butt, and his thing over and over again. Especially that.

Arnav put his boxers on and then his sweats. He headed to the bathroom to brush his teeth and then went to the sofa to go to sleep. Turning the lights off, he slowly drifted off, taking one more glance at Khushi, even though it was her back, and then fell asleep. What did he know that his mere innocently-done actions had now troubled a poor unfortunate soul ;)

Chapter Twelve

Khushi moved her head slightly. Slowly, she opened her eyes and blinked in the lights.

Where am I, she wondered.

She looked around her left and realized she was in the hospital. She then felt a weight and looked to her right, and what she saw, surprised her. Arnav was holding her hand, asleep, right beside her.

What is he... Arnav you... you stayed by my side?

Khushi smiled with tears coming to her eyes.

He cares! He does care! ... or did he do it because he was asked to?

Arnav had never shown Khushi any signs. So to think positive was kind of difficult to believe. Khushi looked back at Arnav.

He would never do something mean, he's not like that.

Khushi felt tempted to reach out and run her hand through his hair.

No Khushi, that would be weird.

She turned away but then looked back.

But he wouldn't know.

Khushi reached out then quickly drew her hand in.

No Kush! What if he wakes up?

She looked at him and got really tempted.

But it wouldn't hurt, she bit her lip.

Slowly, she move her hand to his hair and let her fingers sink in.

Wow, his hair is really soft.

She let her hand roam, her fingers feeling every inch of his hair. She let herself continue, loving the feeling of his soft hair between her fingers.

Arnav felt something in his hair and slowly blinked his eyes open. He blinked a few times and then his vision cleared. He still felt the thing in his hair and looked up to see Khushi awake with her hand in his hair.

Khushi froze and her eyes widened   Both got stuck into an eye lock and just gazed away at each other. Khushi was nervous, unsure of how Arnav would feel about this. Arnav on the other hand was grateful that Khushi was awake.

Arnav stood up, making Khushi withdraw her hand.

"Arnavji-"

Arnav pulled Khushi in to a hug and hugged her tightly, his hand in her hair, the other arm around her shoulders. Khushi was in shock and she just blinked.

"Oh thank God, you're okay," Arnav said.

Khushi slowly moved her hands up and held his arms. She never expected this from Arnav. And for him to do such a loving gesture, filled her heart.

Arnav sat down and held her head within his hands. "How are you feeling?"

"Much better now," she nearly whispered.

"I'll go get the nurse."

Arnav stood up to leave, when Khushi grabbed his hand. He looked back at her and she looked into his eyes.

"I'm okay," she simply said.

"You sure?"

Khushi nodded.

Arnav hugged her again and held her tightly. "I thought I almost lost you."

Khushi chuckled lightly. "Arnavji, I fainted; that's all."

Arnav realized how unlike the day before, she was stating him as "Arnavji" instead of "Arnav" and Arnav didn't like it at all.

"Khushi-"

The door opened, so Arnav let go of Khushi, and in came the nurse.

"Oh, good morning Mrs. Raizada," the nurse said. "Mr. Raizada."

The two nodded.

"I'll go get the doctor."

The nurse left and within a minute, she came back with the doctor. The doctor checked up on Khushi and everything seemed alright.

"We might be able to let Mrs. Raizada go today," the doctor said. "She'll just have to rest and then she'll be all better. And no stress either."

Khushi nodded.

"Don't worry," Arnav said. "I'll take care of her."

Khushi looked up at him.

"I'll be by her side the entire time," he said to the doctor.

Khushi couldn't believe it.

But if he's with me all the time, then when will he focus on his work, she wondered.

"Very well Mr. Raizada," the doctor said, and he left.

After a couple of tests, the results were in and Khushi was fine. She was discharged and Arnav was going to take her home.

Khushi had changed into fresh clothes that Arnav's secretary had brought. She wore a plain yellow sari and looked for her mangalsutra. It wasn't with the pile of her stuff and she got scared.

"Oh no," she said aloud. "Where's my mangalsutra?"

She looked on the floor.

"Oh my gosh, where is it," she began to panic.

Arnav came in, back from his call, and saw Khushi worried. "What's wrong?"

"Arnavji, I can't find my mangalsutra!"

She looked like she was going to cry. In fact she had tears brimmed in her eyes. Arnav found it really cute and it made him feel a humble feeling in his heart, seeing how much Khushi cared about their marriage.

Arnav slowly walked towards Khushi, who was still looking around for it, moving the sheets aside on the bed. Arnav held her shoulder and turned her around to face him.

"Arnavji I-"

"Relax Khushi," Arnav said, cutting her off.

"But Arnavji I... I'm so irresponsible," she nearly cried.

"Shh," Arnav soothed.

"I'm such a terrible wife," Khushi said, tears flowing down.

"No, don't say that," Arnav said, wiping her tears away with his thumbs, cupping her face. "It's not your fault."

"But-"

"I have it."

Khushi scrunched her eyebrows. "You... have it?"

Arnav nodded. He reached into his pocket, still cupping her face with a hand, and drew out her mangalsutra. "I should've given it with your stuff."

Khushi gazed at Arnav.

"Um..."

Arnav let her go and turned her around so that her back was facing him. Slowly moving his hand up, he brought his hand to her hair and slowly brushed it aside. At the touch of her skin, Khushi took in a sharp breath, which Arnav had definitely heard. Khushi was breathing rapidly, and that wasn't missed by Arnav either.

Unhooking the necklace, Arnav placed the necklace around her neck. Khushi shut her eyes while Arnav fastened the necklace. For Khushi, this was a precious moment and it meant something to her.

Arnav brought her hair back and just as Khushi was about to say something, his secretary walked in.

"Sir, the car is ready," she said.

Arnav nodded and she left. He looked at Khushi and said "are you ready to go?"

Khushi nodded.

Arnav held her hand and Khushi slowly followed Arnav. But once they were out in the hall, Khushi didn't feel so good.

"Are you okay," Arnav asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine-"

"Don't lie Khushi."

"But Arnavji-"

Arnav swooped down and picked her up. He started to walk towards the exit and Khushi gazed at him the entire time. Arnav noticed and looked at her and their eyes were caught. They just gazed at each other, Arnav's feet working on its own and taking him outside.

Outside, security went around the couple, a huge wad of the media around with cameras. People asked questions and were filming them, but Arnav and Khushi paid no attention. The two were busy looking into each others eyes, unaware of the people around them.

Once they got to the car, Arnav placed her in and he went around and sat beside her. Cameramen came running towards them and attacked Khushi's window.

"Mrs. Raizada, what happened?"

"Who were the men that kidnapped you?"

"Do you think that something like this will happen again?"

Nonstop questions fired at her and some even managed to get their head through the windows. Security tried to push them away and Arnav held her by the waist and pulled her closer to him to get away from the fuss. One camera was right on them, before security pushed everyone away.

The car was started up and pulled away, leaving the huge crowd behind. The entire ride, Arnav held into Khushi and Khushi had her head rested on his shoulder. She was tired, so Arnav didn't say anything and nor did she. Once they arrived at the house, Anannya was already standing outside with Mamaji. Khushi was about to step out, but knowing Khushi's condition, Arnav stopped her. He got out, went around and carried her out and towards the door.

Once again, Khushi was amazed by Arnav's actions. He cared so much of her health, her well-being. Not only was Khushi surprised, but Arnav's mom, not to mention Mamaji, was surprised as well. They had never seen Arnav and Khushi this close. Ever! And to see this filled Anannya's heart.

Arnav came forward with Khushi and Anannya welcomed them home. Taking the evil eye off of them, they entered and Arnav took Khushi directly upstairs to their room. Arnav laid Khushi down and Anannya and Mamaji were watching it all.

Arnav moved to get the blanket, but just as he moved, he moved right back, Khushi's mangalsutra stuck on his shirt. He was just centimeters from her face. The two just looked into each others eyes, completely still.

Anannya couldn't help but have tears come to her eyes, seeing something so sweet. She looked at her brother and they left, shutting the door behind.

Arnav and Khushi flinched from the sound of the door and looked away. Arnav felt a bit awkward, as well as did Khushi, but they liked the position. But Khushi wasn't exactly comfortable, not knowing exactly where they stood.

Slowly reaching up, Khushi carefully tried to get her mangalsutra off. Arnav looked at her while Khushi was busy with her task and once she freed it, she adjusted it. When she looked up, she saw that Arnav was still looking at her. Her eyes widened as she looked at him looking at her. Her breathing had increased as well and she didn't know this was happening at all.

His gaze was tensing. It had intensified so much, it gave Khushi tingles and she shivered slightly. Arnav noticed and thought she was cold and snapped out of it. He got up and pulled the blanket over Khushi. She just watched him as he moved around the room, closing the curtains.

"You should sleep," Arnav said.

Khushi just nodded and Arnav left the room to do some work. She sighed and just looked around the room.

Will things change, Khushi wondered. I mean... the way he's acting... I hope things change.

Khushi looked down at her mangalsutra and held it over her heart. She thought about the day before and thought of how close her and Arnav were. She thought of how close they were earlier today too.

Khushi turned. What if we do get close?

She shut her eyes and an image of Arnav from Dev's party appeared. She opened them immediately and gasped.

Oh my gosh! Now I'm even seeing him when my eyes are closed!

She shut them again and saw an image of him close to her when they were dancing at the party. She opened them again and covered her face with the blanket. Slowly, she peeked out.

Am I really falling for him?

Dhak-dhak!
Dhak-dhak!

I really am falling for him, she smiled, and shut her eyes.

Dhak-dhak!
Dhak-dhak!

I have fallen for him.

Chapter Eleven

"Move!"

Arnav was yelling out, nonstop, making people move out of the way. Him, the team of nurses and doctor ran down the halls, heading towards the ICU. Once they got to it, the doors opened and the nurses went in, taking Khushi. Arnav was about to follow in, but they stopped him.

"I'm sorry Sir, you can't go in," the doctor said.

Arnav tried to debate, but the doctor went in, the light bulb coming to life above. Arnav went to the wall and just stared at the floor.

All of this is happening because of me, he said in his head. It's all my fault.

Mamaji came running in with Arnav's mother. She saw Arnav and ran towards him.

"Chote! Chote, where is she," Anannya exclaimed. "Where's Khushi?"

Arnav couldn't make his voice work, so he pointed at the ICU. Anannya looked up a it and then back at Arnav.

"Is she okay?! What happened?"

Arnav said nothing.

"Tell me! Chote!"

But he said nothing.

"Arnav! Tell me!"

She never called him Arnav unless she was teasing him or exceptionally mad.

Arnav looked at his mother. "Ma," his voice cracked.

His mother had never seen him like this. "Chote-"

Arnav hugged his mother tightly. "This is all my fault! It's all mine! Not hers! Mine!"

"Chote-"

"It's all my fault. Sh-sh-she never should've married me. She..."

"Shh, Chote no," Anannya soothed, wiping her sons face clear of tears. "You don't mean that-"

"But I do!"

Anannya sighed and caressed his cheek. "No you don't."

Arnav didn't listen and sank down to the floor. Anannya followed and rested on her knees.

"Chote, you're only saying that-"

"Ma-"

"You're only saying that because-"

The door opened and a nurse came out. Arnav got to his feet immediately and tried to ask her how Khushi was, but the nurse didn't reply. She stormed past and Arnav sighed in exasperation. The nurse reappeared, but still didn't say anything.

"The fuck man," Arnav exclaimed.

"Chote," both his mother and Mama scolded.

"Sorry! But still!"

Soon the doctor came out and Arnav ran to him.

"Doctor, how is she," he asked.

"Don't worry. Mrs. Raizada is fine."

All three of them sighed.

"But-"

"But what," Arnav asked.

"Chote let her speak," Anannya said.

"It's alright," the doctor said, and then turned to Arnav. "She's fine, but extremely tired. She seems stressed out so I'm going to suggest that she relaxes for a while; do no work and only rest."

"Not a problem," Anannya said.

"Good. And also, she has a big lump on the back of her head, so she'll have to be careful of that. If she gets head spins, that'll be normal. Just make sure she gets rest so it doesn't happen often."

"Okay," Arnav said.

"Alright then Mr. Raizada. We're just gonna do a few more tests and then tomorrow morning, you can take her home."

Arnav nodded. "Can I see her?"

The doctor nodded. "Of course. But one person at a time," and she left.

"Chote, why don't you go first," Mamaji said.

Anannya agreed and Arnav agreed. He went into the room and saw the nurse checking on the monitors and Khushi laid there with an oxygen mask over her.

As the nurse left, Arnav sat beside Khushi. She was asleep, her chest moving lightly up and down. Arnav took her right hand in his hands and held onto it tightly.

This really is my fault, he said in his head. Had you never married me...

He kissed her hand and rested his forehead on their hands.

Outside, Anannya and Mamaji realized that Arnav was still in there and got curious. They peeked in and gaped. Arnav had fallen asleep beside her, still holding Khushi's hand.

Anannya smiled. "And he felt guilty."

"The boy doesn't understand yet," Mamaji said.

"True. Little does he understand that he's only saying that because he loves her." She sighed. "At least, I hope he does. And that she does too."

*Extension*
The couple slept peacefully and quietly thought the night, only the nurse coming in to check up on Khushi. She removed Khushi's mask, since she was back to breathing steadily, and looked at the couple.

The media was buzzing on Arnav and Khushi, but so far had no news on them. Finding this a great opportunity, the nurse took a picture with her phone and sent it to a news station and Arnav and Khushi became breaking news within the second.

Chapter Ten

Determined, Arnav drove to the location. All he could think of was Khushi's safety. Driving roughly, he arrived to the location and stopped. He was outside of a run-down factory. It used to be a factory that made mattresses, but due to lack of money and then hitting bankruptcy, the factory had to shut down.

Arnav got out and just as Arnav was about to take out the bags, his phone rang.

"Hello," he said sternly.

"Ah, so my buddy has arrived." It was the kidnapper.

"I'm here."

"I know. I see you," he said matter-of-factly.

Arnav looked around under his eyelashes.

"Where's the money?"

Arnav cradled his phone between his ear and shoulder. He opened the car door and took out the briefcases.

"Very good," the guy said. "My men will approach you. They'll take you in."

Two men appeared and went to Arnav. One was short and bald, the other a little taller, but fat. Baldy held his hand out and Arnav handed the briefcases. Fatty had Arnav hold out his arms and he patted him down, making sure he didn't have anything on him. He held his hand out, gesturing for his phone. Arnav smirked and handed it to him.

Baldy turned and Fatty pointed a gun at Arnav's head. Arnav stayed chill and followed the two inside. Inside, the place looked terrible. It was run down, with rats running here and there, filled with cobwebs.

Going to an elevator, Fatty opened the small gate and the three got in. They went up and then got out. Arnav followed and once they turned the corner, he froze.

In front of him, in between high stacks of barrels, was Khushi, exhausted out from yelling and struggling. Her head hung forward, looking extremely tired.

"Khushi!"

Khushi looked up slowly and saw Arnav. "Ar... nav..."

Arnav was about to run towards her, when a guy came out of nowhere and pointed a gun at her head. Arnav stilled and his eyes widened at the sight.

"Let her go," Arnav said.

The guy chuckled. "This easily?"

Arnav recognized the voice. It was the guy from the phone.

"What do you want," Arnav asked.

He chuckled again.

"Let her go. I brought you your money, now let her go!"

He chuckled once more an then tilted his head to the left and tsked. "Ah, love. Such a cute thing."

Arnav was done with the nonsense. "Let her fucking go!"

"Ah, not so nice? Relax yaar! Bhabiji will definitely be released."

He looked at Baldy and gestured him to give Arnav the bags. Arnav got confused and looked at the main guy.

"You will personally hand me the money. This way it's fair," he said matter of factly.

Arnav just nodded his head and walked towards him, his eyes on Khushi. She looked really scared with the gun pointed at her. Arnav had never seen her like this and it was hurting him a lot.

"Walk," the guy yelled.

Arnav began to walk forward, his eyes never leaving Khushi. She was really scared, her lower lip trembling.

Baldy and Fatty came outta nowhere and pushed him hard, and since Arnav was caught off guard, he fell.

"Move," both roared.

Arnav got up and was about to swing his fist when her heard the small click. He spun on his heels and looked at Main Guy. He had his gun right against Khushi's head, ready to pull the trigger.

"Bring me the cash," Main Guy yelled.

Khushi had her eyes screwed shut and she was crying. Arnav couldn't bare the sight of Khushi crying and walked towards the guy.

"Good boy," Main Guy said, slurring his words.

Arnav handed him the briefcases and Main Guy pointed the gun at Arnav.

"Move back," he simply said.

Arnav put his hands up and slowly backed away. Once he was a good ten feet away, Main Guy untied Khushi. Arnav tried to approach to help her out, but Main Guy pointed the gun back at him.

"Back the fuck off," Main Guy yelled.

Arnav did as he said and stepped away. Main Guy continued to untie Khushi while pointing his gun at Arnav. Khushi was still tired and exhausted and when she was released, she was still sitting there.

"Get the fuck up," Main Guy yelled.

Arnav was about to explode, but the guy pointed his gun at Khushi.

"Stop," Arnav yelled. "Can't you see she's not in good condition?!"

"Like I give a fuck," Main Guy sneered.

Main Guy grabbed Khushi by the wrist and pulled her forward, making Khushi trip and almost fall. Arnav sprang forward and caught Khushi before she fell face forward. Her eyes were shut, her breathing slow.

"Khushi," Arnav called out.

He patted her cheeks lightly and Khushi slowly opened her eyes.

"A-A-Arnav..."

Arnav caressed her face in his hand and felt really bad. Khushi saw the feelings in his eyes and slowly reached up and caressed his cheek. Arnav looked at her hand and then at her and she shook her head, not wanting him to feel hurt at all, tears brimmed in her eyes.

"How cute," Main Guy said. "Anyways, I'll be going."

Arnav didn't care and held Khushi tightly. He scanned her, making sure she was okay. When he placed his hand at the back of her head, he felt something wet and Khushi hissed, shutting her eyes. Removing his hand, he saw blood all over his palm. His eyes darted at Khushi's for answers.

"They... they h-hi-hit me... w-wi-wi-with a-a-a- r-rod," she said, her eyes brimmed with tears.

Arnav looked into her eyes and saw the pain. His eyes began to fill with rage and Khushi got scared. She stroked her hands on his cheek, trying to calm him down, but Arnav was furious. He placed Khushi down and stood up.

"GET YOUR FUCKING ASS BACK HERE RIGHT NOW YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"

Khushi was in shock, not to mention the other guys. Khushi especially, since she had never heard him say such words. Ever! It shocked Khushi, especially the fact that he was doing this... because of her?

But why would he do that, Khushi wondered.

Main Guy, as well as Baldy and Fatty looked at Arnav.

"You fuckers have some nerve for hitting my wife," Arnav roared.

Wife, Khushi said in her head.

"And you have some balls for even touching her!"

Khushi gaped at Arnav.

"I'm not sparing you for this," and he charged at them.

Baldy moved forward and pointed his gun, but Arnav had attacked him already. Punching him in his stomach, Arnav twisted his arm behind his back and got the gun and pointed the gun at him.

"Move and I'll shoot him," Arnav threatened.

Main Guy chuckled. "Go ahead. I'd like to see."

"I'm not kidding."

"Nor am I. Do it."

Arnav loaded it and Khushi got scared.

"Arnav no," she cried out.

But Arnav didn't care. He was fuming, thinking they had some guts for hurting his wife.

"Arnav!"

Everyone turned and saw Mamaji as well as their men come running in, all armed.

"Fuck," Main Guy yelled.

Him and Fatty tried to run but Arnav's men caught him. Another guy took baldy and they began to lead them out. When Main Guy was near Khushi, he pushed the guy away, took his gun and went to Khushi and grabbed her, pointing the gun at her.

"Arnav," Khushi yelled.

Arnav turned, as well as everyone else, and Arnav froze.

"Arn-" but she couldn't say anymore because the guy put the gun in her mouth.

"Now then," Main Guy said.

"Let her go," Arnav demanded.

"Oh I will. First you're gonna let me go and you can get her."

Khushi's eyes were wide with fear, her squealing. Arnav stepped forward and Main Guy shoved it in deeper.

"Okay, okay," Arnav yelled. "I won't move. None of us will."

"Good," and he slowly started to back up.

But Main Guy hadn't noticed that one of Arnav's men we're behind him, so when Main Guy stepped back, the guy pointed his gun at Main Guy's head.

"Let her go," the worker said. "Or you're done."

Other men surrounded them. Arnav did as well, pointing Baldy's gun at him. Arnav neared in and Main Guy hesitated. One of Arnav's workers grabbed Main Guy's hand and pulled the gun out of Khushi's mouth. Khushi took her chance and ran towards Arnav, wrapping her arms around his waist and hugged him tightly, crying in his chest.

Though Arnav felt a little tingly from it, as well as Khushi, neither worried about that now cause the situation was off.

Main Guy was fighting the other guy back, but everyone dived in and restrained him. Grasping his hands behind his back, they led Main Guy out.

Both Arnav and Khushi watched as they led him out. Khushi slowly looked up at Arnav and saw the anger, hate, and disgust as he stared Main Guy down. Then when Arnav looked at her, his eyes softened. He cupped her face in his hand and Khushi's lips quivered, her about to cry again. Arnav shook his head and a tear went down her cheek. He pulled her to him and hugged her, reassuring her of her safety and that nothing would happen to her, and that he was here for her. Khushi shook as she cried and Arnav knew she was scared. Shutting his eyes, Arnav kissed the top of her head and Khushi stilled.

This was the first time Arnav had ever kissed her. She was in shock and couldn't believe it. Just as she was about to look up, they heard yelling outside. The two looked at each other and then ran outside.

Outside, the three had freed themselves and had guns in their hands. They were moving back as Arnav's men moved forward.

"Stop," Mamaji yelled. "Or we will act!"

But the three didn't listen. They continued to move back. At a far distance, in the blink of an eye, they moved the gun to their heads and shot themselves.

Everyone blanched and Khushi screamed, hiding her face in Arnav's chest. The three bodies fell down, blood pouring. Arnav couldn't believe it and he didn't understand why they would do that.

Mamaji called the police and they were on their way. Arnav held Khushi tightly, when her hand dropped to her side. Her breath was shallow and Arnav pulled her back. Her head fell back and both hands had dropped to her sides.

"Khushi?!"

Mamaji turned as looked at them.

"Khushi?!" Arnav patted her cheek. "Khushi? Khushi?! Khushi, please!"

Arnav knelt down and rested her back against his knee, holding her against his chest.

"Khushi?! Come on Khushi, don't do this to me, please! Khushi!"

But she didn't wake up.

Mamaji went running to Arnav. "Whats wrong?"

"Mamaji," Arnav said hesitatingly. "Mamaji, she's... she's not getting up! Khushi! Khushi please!"

"I'll call the ambulance," Mamaji said and got his phone out.

"Khushi," Arnav called out. "Khushi please!" Tears came flowing down his face. "Khushi please wake up," he pleaded. "Please Khushi!"

Arnav hugged her tightly and tears flowed down from his cheeks to her hair. Soon the ambulance arrived and they rushed to the hospital, Arnav holding her hand the entire time.

Chapter Nine

After that night, Arnav and Khushi didn't bring it up. Arnav clearly remembered what he had said to her and felt embarrassed. Khushi felt weird about it, and couldn't get it out of her head.

Arnav liked me, Khushi thought. I can't believe it! I thought he never did! I mean I used to like him, but he actually liked me back?! OMG!!!

Khushi felt like a teen, but she didn't care. It was just mind-boggling to her! Day and night, it went through her head. But around Arnav, she would act calm.

Day after day, both began to feel comfortable and would get closer and closer. Not to that point, but they were closer than before. They were good friends but with time passing by, the want of love was getting bigger and bigger.

One day Khushi went out to the mall alone. She shopped here and there, when she stopped in front of a men's store. She decided to get Arnav a nice cologne, and then she went to Gucci and got him a nice watch. She just felt like getting it for him since the past few days, the only thing coming to her mind was just one person - Arnav.

Whenever he would be around, her heart would go dhak-dhak! Dhak-dhak! She would dream about him, night and day. She felt the urge of wanting him, and she wanted to be with him.

Hmm, what else should I get?

She passed by some stores and thought of getting Arnav some clothes, but she didn't know his size. In fact, she didn't know much about him at all. That made her think back to their conversation they had earlier before she left.

*~*

"Arnavji, I'm going to the mall," Khushi said.

"Okay," Arnav replied, working on a file.

Khushi grabbed her purse. "Should I get you something?"

"No," he sighed.

"Meaning yes."

"No."

She shrugged on her purse. "Why not?"

Arnav looked at her. "What would you get?"

"I don't know. Anything I like?"

Arnav rolled his eyes, smiling lightly.

"Well, I don't know what you like," Khushi said in a low voice.

Arnav nodded, looking at the file.

"Or what you hate," she nearly whispered.

Arnav looked back at her. She seemed a bit sad and he scrunched his eyebrows.

"I barely know you," she whispered, sadly.

Arnav felt bad and wanted to hug her and comfort her, but he didn't move. He looked back at his file, disappointed he couldn't do anything.

"I wish you would let me get close to you," she said in a low voice. "I want to know you Arnavji. I want to know what you like and what you hate. ... I want to be with you."

Arnav gulped, daring not to look at her. Khushi just turned and left and Arnav looked at her as she left.

*~*

Khushi sighed. She couldn't stay upset at him for too long. It was his beautiful face that made it go away.

Finished with shopping, Khushi headed out of the mall. She went to the parking lot, when a group of men appeared out of nowhere.

"Ey ladki (Yo chick!)," a guy yelled. "Come with us."

"Excuse me?"

Khushi shut her door, all of her bags in her car.

"What, you can't hear," another ask. "Chal! (Move!)"

Two other guys grabbed her arms.

"Hey! What are you doing," she exclaimed.

The fifth guy gagged her.

"Take her away," the first guy said.

They dragged Khushi, Khushi trying to fight back, but it was no use. There was no one around and the group dragged her into the back of a white van and shut the doors. Khushi tried to fight away, but their hold on her was too strong. They tied her hands and feet and placed a black cover over her head.

Meanwhile...

Arnav stared at his laptop. After Khushi had left, Arnav couldn't even focus on his work. All he thought of was Khushi and what she had said. To think she would feel that way was mind-boggling to him.

Khushi? Wants to know him? That's so weird! Well, at least to him. The last girl he actually liked was her. Getting involved into politics meant a lot of studying so time for girls got off hands and books came into play.

He was too busy thinking this, when his secretary came running in, along with his Mama.

"Chote, come now," Mamaji said.

"What's wrong," Arnav asked, standing up.

"Sir, we have a problem on our hands," Arnav's secretary said.

"What?"

"We don't exactly know because the guy is demanding to speak to you. Him and his men are nonstop calling us, no matter how many times we're telling them to stop."

Without a word, Arnav headed out the door and his Mama and secretary followed. They headed out the house and Anannya looked at them as they left.

"Chote? What happened," she asked, running to the door.

"Di, stay inside," Mamaji said.

"What? Why? What happened?"

"Stay inside-!"

"No way," and she ran behind them.

Arnav headed into HQ and everyone was on the phone. His secretary went to her desk and Arnav went to his. His secretary's phone rang and she picked it up.

"Hello? ...wait." She looked at Arnav. "Sir-"

"Transfer the call," Arnav said.

She nodded and transferred the call. The line blinked and Arnav picked it up.

"Arnav Sing Raizada," he said confidently.

"Of course," the manly voice said. "Who else would it be?"

Arnav could tell he was smiling. "What do you want?"

"You know, the funny thing is, I've been trying to contact you for like hours-"

"What. Do you. Want?"

"Ah, straightforward... I like it."

"I don't like repeating myself sir-"

"Please! Don't be so formal! We could be pals!"

Arnav was about to cut him off but the guy continued.

"I mean come on ASR- you don't mind me calling you that, do you? No? Good," and Arnav could tell he was smiling again.

"I'll ask you again," Arnav said patiently. "What. Do. You. Want?"

"Well ASR, since you want to get down to business immediately... I'll tell you."

Armav rolled his eyes, letting out an inward sigh. About time, he thought.

"We have a very, very... prized possession, if you will, with us."

Arnav scrunch his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

"Really ASR? I'm sure you would know what we're talking about."

"What the-?"

"We have your wife ASR."

Arnav's eyes widened. "Bullshit-"

"Don't believe me? Your pal? Well, listen to Bhabiji then."

There was a ruffling noise and then a tiny, weak voice spoke.

"Arnav..."

Arnav's eyes widened. It really was Khushi. "Khushi," he breathed.

Everyone else in the room gaped. Anannya covered her mouth and her eyes shot wide.

"Khushi," she asked. "What? How? Where-?"

Her brother raised his hand to hush her.

"Khushi, are you okay," Arnav asked, breathless.

"Arnav..."

"Khushi? Khushi, are you okay?"

"Arnav..."

"Khushi, don't worry. I'm coming, okay? I'm coming to save you."

"How sweet," the guy said.

"Where the fuck have you kept my wife?"

Anannya looked at her son in shock. Of the few months of their marriage, this is the first time he had ever seen Arnav like this, claiming her as his wife, not just saying it.

"Relax pal," the guy said. "Bhabiji is fine! We wouldn't hurt Bhabiji-"

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"

Everyone jumped from Arnav yelling.

"Chill yaar! I'll text you the address, under one condition that is."

"What condition?"

"Bring 50 lakhs with you."

"What the?! 50 lakhs?!"

"I know you have that kinda money. Its too little for a man like you. Bring me the money, and Bhabiji will be set free and into your arms."

"You snake," Arnav snarled.

"Is that a way to talk to your pal? Eh, oh well. I'll text you the address. But khabardar, if you bring anyone, or even inform the police, then your wife gets it."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it."

"No, no I don't think you do."

All of a sudden there was shrieking.

"Arnav!" It was Khushi. She was screaming when there was a sound of a bullet.

"Khushi!"

"Relax yaar," the guy said, back at the phone again. "Bhabiji ko kuch nehi hua. Chill, 'Kay? Chill."

"If anything happens to my wife," Arnav said through his gritted teeth, his eyes filled with anger and power, "then I will murder you," he snarled.

"Whoa, chill yaar! Anyways, I can tell you're getting impatient for bhabiji. Fine, no prob. I'll be hanging up and sending you a text. Remember, no one with you. Not your people nor police. Or your wife gets it," and the guy hung up.

Arnav's grip on the phone loosened and somewhat slipped. He disconnected the call and looked side to side, running a hand through his hair.

"Chote," Anannya said, grabbing his arm, "where's Khushi? Where?!"

"She's been kidnapped," Arnav almost whispered.

"Kidnapped? What- how- why?!"

He looked at Mamaji. "They want money. 50 lakhs."

"That much," Mamaji replied. "But Arnav, it's a lot-"

"I don't care how much it is," Arnav boomed. "I need to save Khushi!"

Both his mom and uncle gaped at him, wondering when he started to care for Khushi so much.

"I need to save her," he said in a lower voice. He looked at his secretary. "Get my checkbook. I need that money. NOW!"

She jumped an quickly left. She brought it back and Arnav filled out a check and sent her to the bank, calling the bank to let them know of the huge withdrawal.

Arnav's phone beeped and it was a text. The text was from a private number and it was an address. Arnav sat in his chair and rested his lips on his folded hands, thinking of the call.

"We have your wife ASR."

"Bullshit-"

"Don't believe me? Your pal? Well, listen to bhabiji then."

There was a ruffling noise and then a tiny, weak voice spoke.

"Arnav..."

Arnav leaned back in his chair, thinking back to earlier in the day.

"I barely know you," she whispered, sadly.

Arnav shut his eyes.

"I wish you would let me close to you," she said in a low voice.

Arnav opened his eyes and looked at his desk. He opened the top drawer and took out a picture of Khushi. He secretly kept it there and would look at it everyday.

"I want to know you Arnavji. I want to know what you like and what you hate. ... I want to be with you."

"I'm sorry Khushi," Arnav said aloud. "I want you too. I just didn't know how you felt. But now everything is going to change. I want to know you too. And I never want to lose you."

His secretary came back with two big briefcases filled with money. Arnav looked a the picture one last time.

I'm coming. I'm coming for you Khushi.

He put the picture away and took the briefcases. He headed to his car and Anannya and Mamaji approached him.

Anannya looked at him seriously. "Bring my daughter back safe and sound."

Arnav placed the briefcases down to take his mothers blessings. "I swear Ma, that I will bring her back. No matter what."

She placed her hand on his head and Arnav stood up. "My blessings are always with you."

Arnav nodded and put the briefcases in his car, got in, and drove off.

Chapter Eight

"Ready to have fun," Khushi asked.

Arnav nodded.

She smiled and took his hand and led him out to the dance floor.

Music was pumping and the floor felt like it was vibrating. Everyone was dancing and Khushi led him to the middle of the floor.

Arnav looked side to side. "Um, Khushi... I don't know-"

"Oh come on! It'll be fun!"

People danced away and Arnav just looked at them. Khushi had her arms at her waist, when she heard "Uff Teri Ada" go off.

Arnav couldn't believe how graceful and beautiful Khushi looked. She was amazing, her hair bouncing as she moved. He was in such daze, he wasn't even moving, his eyes just traveling to where Khushi went and moved. Khushi noticed and didn't like how he wasn't letting loose, so she began to dance with him. Arnav just looked at her, her eyes sparkling and playful. As the music sped up, Khushi stood in front of him and placed his hands at her waist and she shook them side to side and Arnav just looked at her. He couldn't even remember the last time he had done something like this. It didn't take long until Arnav began to dance and as song after song passed, the two were absorbed into the music.

Khushi began to feel thirsty and stopped and Arnav scrunched his eyebrows.

"Follow me," she simply said and she took him to the bar.

They sat down and Khushi ordered a drink for her and Arnav. Arnav couldn't believe it.

She drinks, he wondered. Damn!

The drinks were placed and Arnav looked at the shot cups in front of him.

Ah! Tequilas.

Khushi placed some salt onto her hands and was about to on Arnav's, when she saw that he had already done it.

"Hmm, seems like someone has drank before," Khushi said.

Arnav took some salt. "No joke," and he took his shot.

Khushi just looked at him wide eyed and blinked. He ordered five more shots and when he was about to order his sixth, Khushi stopped him.

"I think that's enough for one night," Khushi said.

"Enough," he whined. "No! More!"

"Stop acting like a five year old. Now let's go - we're leaving."

Khushi took his hands and Arnav stopped whining and Khushi said bye to her friends and they headed out. Arnav couldn't believe how beautiful his wife was. He felt like holding her tightly.

"You sit behind, and I'll drive," Khushi said.

Arnav smiled drunkily and Khushi scrunched her eyebrows, smiling. She started to drive home and Arnav held onto her. Khushi didn't mind, knowing his drunk state. As for Arnav, he was enjoying it, holding his beautiful, luscious, sexy-

Whoa! Arnav chill, he exclaimed in his head. She's your wife! ... your wife that doesn't love you.

They had arrived home and Khushi helped them to sneak back inside. Khushi left her bike somewhere where no one would find it and she would take it back the day after. Going up the stairs, they went into their room and Khushi sat on the bed and sighed. Arnav was loopy and drunk and he fell to the floor.

"Oh no!" Khushi ran to his side. "You okay?"

Arnav chuckled, rubbing his head. "Nah, I'm fine. Cheeeiiiluh!"

Khushi just pursed her lips and helped him up and had him sit down on the bed. Arnav smiled like a fool and looked at Khushi.

"Khushi?"

"Yes Arnavji?"

"Can I ask you something?"

She nodded.

"Why are you so beautiful?"

Khushi blinked. "What," she breathed out.

"You're really hot. Sometimes I forget you're my wife!"

"I-"

"I'm rotten, aren't I?"

"What? No Arnavji, you're-"

"Truth be told, I liked you before."

Khushi scrunched her eyebrows. "Wha... what?"

He nodded. "When we were teens, I had a crush on you, though I never told anyone."

"Really?"

Arnav smiled drunkily and nodded. "Yap!"

Khushi couldn't believe it. She was stuck in thought about it and when she turned back to look at Arnav, he had already laid back on the bed and had fallen asleep.

Khushi sighed and helped him in and she changed and got a pillow and slept on the sofa.

Chapter Seven

Arnav didn't have a clue of where they were going. They ended up going to the outskirts of town and to the rundown area. There used to be people who lived in these areas, but back then the poor would live here. Ever since everyone "upgraded" people moved out of there. Even the poor found it "low class" and the poor had shifted elsewhere.

On the other hand, since now no one barely came this way, a person found this as the best place to put a club. Since it opened, slowly people went there. When Khushi found out about it, she was more than delighted, finally finding a place outside her world.

"Khushi, where are we going?"

"We're almost there. Just go down this hill and make a right."

Arnav did as she said and saw the club. Just from the sight, Arnav got a bad feeling. Not because of the kind of people who were there, but because of the huge line. Khushi grabbed his hand and guided him towards the club.

The minute her hand had touched his, Arnav didn't pay attention to anything and just looked at Khushi. She was just plain mesmerizing and Arnav felt a bliss. When Khushi let go, he snapped back to reality and found himself at the front of the line.

"Khushi," he whispered. "You just cut a whole bunch of people."

Khushi just nodded, gesturing to him to just follow her. Khushi turned to the bouncer and cleared her throat. The big guy turned and Arnav's eyes widened a bit. The guy was huge! Taller than he was, not mention with a lot of extra pounds added. Looking at the guy, you'd probably pee in your pants. But Khushi? She was smiling as jolly as a five year-old girl with ginormous lollipop in her hand.

"Hey Rob," Khushi smiled.

 "Khushi! Where have you been?!"

"'round. Missed me?"

"You know me! Anyways, it's been a while. VIP booth hasn't been the same without you."

VIP, Arnav wondered. Wow.

"Alright, enough of me stalling you. Go on in," he pointed inside.

Khushi smiled. "See ya later."

Khushi turned to go in and Arnav was about to follow, when Rob stopped him.

"Excuse me," Rob's voice boomed. "Back of the line!"

Khushi turned and grabbed Arnav's hand. "Oh, my bad! Rob, he's with me."

"Oh, my bad," Rob said. "Who's your new friend?"

"He's my husband."

Rob was shocked and Khushi just smiled and dragged Arnav in, him lost in her.

They got inside to the lobby, where there were people sitting on the sofas, people making out, drinking, and talking. Some of them recognized Khushi and said hi to her and she smiled back at the people she knew and said hey.

Arnav was shocked by how many people knew her. Yet out of the people that said hi to her, she prolly said hi back to about five or six people. Arnav didn't keep track since he was to busy admiring her beauty.

Right as they were about to enter the main part of the club, Khushi turned and looked at Arnav. "Now then, if you're worried about anyone recognizing you, don't. No one gives a cr*p about politics here, nor pays a little mind to it, which is why I would come here. Every other club I'd go to, people would always recognize me. Here, people only know me for my, how should I put this… craziness."

Arnav just nodded once and Khushi took him inside, unveiling a whole other world to Arnav. The place was dark, colorful lights flashing. The dj was at his booth and there were people dancing themselves away at the dance floor. Khushi led him to the VIP section and Khushi saw her friends.

"Hey guys!"

They saw Khushi and a girl went running up to her. "Khushi! Where have you been yaar?!"

"'round. What's up with you Jaz? You dyed your hair red!"

"Yeah, thought of doing something to it."

"It's cute!"

"Thanks."

Khushi looked at the others and they exchanged hugs. "Oh yeah," she grabbed Arnav's hand and made him move closer to her. "This is my husband."

One of the guys stood up. "Hey man! I'm Alex," he said, holding his hand out.

Arnav held his out. "Arnav."

Alex took his hand and leaned in and collided their chests. Arnav couldn't remember the last time he had done a handshake like that. So much swag.

"Why are you guys sitting here," Khushi asked.

"It's been boring without you here," Liza said.

"Aww! How sweet!"

"Well its true," Max said.

"Fine then. How about we go and dance? Hmm?"

They all nodded and they walked out to the dance floor. Khushi took off her jacket to leave it there and Arnav took his off as well. When he did, Khushi moved over to him.

"Ready to have fun," Khushi asked.

Arnav nodded.

She smiled and took his hand and led him out to the dance floor.

Chapter Six

Arnav got his clothes out and changed in the bathroom. He came out and found Khushi already changed. She was wearing a green and white striped tank top on that was flowey, and black jeggings on. She had her leather jacket on, her hair flowing.

Khushi was looking in the mirror, fixing her hair and Arnav was mesmerized. He never realized the beauty that she held, and the minute she turned to see Arnav, her hair flew and Arnav felt a bliss he had never felt in his life. He had met other women before, but no one had ever been able to do what Khushi's hair itself, had done. He looked her up and down, admiring how sexy his wife was looking. On the other hand, the same couldn't be said for what Khushi saw.

"Arnavji, what are you wearing?"

Arnav looked down. "Whats wrong?"

"Arnavji, you're going out to party, not to a meeting."

"And…?"

"Arnavji, you're wearing a vest, button down shirt, and pants! You're not going to a rally!"

"So what's wrong with my clothes?"

Khushi groaned and went over to him and unbuttoned his vest. "Arnavji, go change. You'll stick out like a sore thumb in these."

Arnav didn't mind what she said and just looked at his wife. She was very close to him and he wanted to hold her.

Khushi looked Arnav up and down, and then walked around him. "Hmm, maybe we can make some adjustments."

Arnav scrunched his eyebrows.

Khushi went to the wardrobe and went through out. She took out a pair of Arnav's jeans and held it down and looked at Arnav and the jeans. She shut the wardrobe and went to Arnav and handed him the jeans. "Change into these."

"Okay," and he did.

He went to the bathroom and changed and came out. He walked over to Khushi and she looked him up and down. She shook her head and pulled on Arnav's shirt.

"Don't tuck your shirt," Khushi said as she took it out.

She looked at Arnav's hair and messed it up.

"Hey-"

"Arnavji, you look like a little boy," she said, fixing his hair.

"Uh-"

"What did you do to it?"

"I finally decided to comb it?"

Khushi looked up at him and shook her head, a little smile playing on her lips. "There we go! Much better!"

Arnav looked in the mirror. He was surprised. He hasd't looked like the way he looked like right now in a long time. He always dressed proper ever since he joined politics.

"Am I good or what," Khushi asked, patting her shoulder for a job well done.

Arnav messed around with his hair and tossed his head to the side (like how Bieber does it). He turned and looked at Khushi and Khushi couldn't help but daze at him. He was looking good, no doubt, and she felt like holding onto him.

She snapped out of it. "Ready to go?"

Arnav got out his leather jacket. "Yeah."

"Then let's go."

Khushi put on her hood and the two walked out. They slowly crept out, not wanting anyone to know. They slowly crept out the back and carefully snuck out, the guards not having a clue. Khushi led Arnav all the way to her house, a secret path that no one knew about, but her. She used to use this path when she would come in the middle of the night to tell Anjali something important.

She got to her house and told Arnav to wait as she snuck into the garage and got her bike. She brought it out and Arnav was surprised. It wasn't just a bike, but a motorcycle. It was black and shiny. To think Khushi was this wild made Arnav's head spin.

"Um, Khushi?"

Khushi looked up. "Yeah?"

"May I," he asked, gesturing at the bike.

Khushi passed him a helmet. "Sure," and she tossed him the keys.

Arnav caught it with one hand and got on the helmet. He sat and started it up and Khushi sat behind. She moved her hands through his arms and gripped onto his shoulders. Arnav looked at her hands and then drove off. Khushi told him which way to go and Arnav followed her words until they arrived to a club.
